I am new to the skype community and I have done several weeks of reading and research on which skype phone to purchase. I needed to find a decent phone locally so I could take it back if I did not like it.
The Setup is for the phone is really simple, plug in the box to your router, plug in the phone line, insert batterers into the phone, turn phone on.
The skype setup was smooth and simple, up to date firmware was already installed.
The phone cames with 500 minutes of skypeout.
I went ahead and purchased 1 year of phone service At 29.99 and a phone number, 60.00 per year. Within minutes both were working.
The call quality is great so far, the spouse says it sounds better than out land line.
The phone runs on 2 AAA rechargeable batteries.
The things that I am disappointed about are not fault of the phone but rather skype software. Like if you are required to press the number "1" on the phone, you better be near your computer, because you still can't do that on the phone yet. |

| We jumped on the Skype Boat and bought three of these phones. One for business, for home, and one for family in Brazil. We use SkypeIn so these phones are not just for Skype Calls. Call Quality is A+. Reliability A- (3 Things: 1) On rare occasions the phones will become erratic and blank out any number you're trying to enter to call. 2) Range is slightly less than standard cordless. 3) Rare occasion of dropped call--more likely skype than the phone). Phone Features: A. We have had the phones for over a month now. We're extremely pleased with the quality of the phone and Skype service. Phones are durable, do not get hot when used for long durations, have a nice look and feel, light-weight but sturdy, nice color screen/user-interface, comfortable to use. Our primary complaint on the phone is the inability to set the Ring Duration for Voice Mail. Phones ring 15 sec's (tops) and hit voicemail fast. We haven't used the land-line feature. |

| This phone is just great. I have the Skype subscription for US and Canada where I just pay about $4 a month plus I rent a skype in phone number for my local area and it works just great. The gadget is responsive and has all features I can ask for in Skype. Feels great to walk away from the computer with this phone. Sounds is so clear and crisp, with no cuttoffs, much better than in the computer. I bought the inexpensive Jabra headset for 2.5mm plug and it makes the experience even better. I definitively recommend it. |

| We got this phone to get rid of our landline. Installataion was very easy. Speaker function works well! We love it! We don't have to use our computer to talk people. With the unlimited calling plan and our skype-in number, we were able to save at least $200/Y for the phone!!! It connects most of the time. Sometime, due to skype line I think, the skype drops the voice, but other than that, it worsk for us! Love this!!! |

The phone comes in a wonderful design and a larger screen than other products.
What I liked most that it updates it's software automatically after you accept the requst, all it asks you to stay away for a while, and it's all done by itself.
Switching between the handphone and the speaker is just a button click.
When you make a call it simply asks you if you want to use landline or skype.
I see this phone very easy to use and it's much better than the NETGEAR's WiFi Phone (SPH200W-100NAS) I previously bought when it comes to sound quality and ease of use.
